Recomended Makeup Brushes for Breast Cancer Beauty Tips Article Below
Deluxe Concealer Makeup Brush $6 Great for concealing dark under eye circles
Italian Badger Bronzer Brush $17 Ultra soft brisltes will add a healthy glow to your skin.
Mini Eye Smudger $7 Smudge away those harsh eyeliner lines to create a soft and natural look.
Beauty Tips for Women Dealing with Breast Cancer Treatment Side Effects
Taken from the book Ramy Gafni's Beauty Therapy: The Ultimate Guide to Looking and Feeling Great While Living with Cancer
1. Try yellow-based concealer plus bronzer
If you have dark shadows under your eyes, Gafni recommends using concealer—yellow-based (not pink), because that looks the most natural. Choose a shade that either matches your skin tone or is slightly lighter. "Then add a little bronzer to get rid of sallowness or paleness in the skin, or add a rosy blush to the apples of the cheeks to give you a healthy pop of color. Keep it simple."
2. Use pencil or pomade to fill in your brows
"More than losing the hair on your head—if you're bald or have it shaved people could just think you're an artist—losing your brows and lashes are a bigger giveaway that you're going through cancer," says Gafni. If you have partial hair loss, he recommends using a pencil or pomade a shade lighter than your hair color to fill in brows. "If you have no hair [on your brows] at all, go a little darker than your hair color," he adds, noting that a wax-based brow filler, like his Miracle Brow!, will adhere better to the skin.
3. Smudge eyeliner on your lash line
"The best way to fill your lash line is to use an eyeliner—pencil, pen, or liquid, which is the hardest to work with and looks the most artificial," says Gafni. "Go as close to the lash line as possible with a brownish-black pencil or pen, but you don't need to make a perfectly straight line; it looks better if you smudge it a little bit. Do this on the upper lash line and you can do a little bit on the outer half of the lower lash line."
Women of color can use more intense colors, like a black eyeliner and a richer, burgundy blush, Gafni says.

The Quick Guide to Mineral Makeup Brushes
Mineral makeup has sure taken the makeup industry by storm. It has so many benefits over liquid foundation. Most mineral makeup wearers know the benefits.
- It is all natural
- It contains natural SPF
- It is good for your skin
- It resists bacteria
- It has good shelf Life
- A little goes a long way. Saving you money in the long run.
But when it comes to brushes to apply your makeup many people get lost on the different types of brushes available on the market.
When it comes to makeup brushes natural bristles are best. Natural animal hair bristles do a better job of Picking up and grabbing the mineral makeup. The bristles are porous therefore they will absorb the makeup deep into the hairs. However many vegetarians or those with sensitivities to animal hair like to use synthetic bristles. Modern technology has enabled these to work just as good as animal hair.
The Kabuki Brush – This is the most widely used brush for mineral makeup.
Pro’s- soft and full round head lightly grab the minerals and apply a light application to large areas. Quick And easy to use.
Con’s -Large head is usually to big to fit into the jars of mineral makeup making it messy.
Flat top buffer brushes
Pro’s -Smaller flat top fits great into the jars of loose mineral foundation less mess. The application is heavier because the bristles are evenly cut across the head grabbing more product on the tips of the bristles.
Con’s – Takes more time to buff in the minerals due to the smaller brush tip and the flat cut versus a tapered cut tends to create more of a sharp edge on your face versus a tapered brush which creates a diffused edge.

How To Create Smoky Eyes
The key to creating a smoky eye is Blending. The color is darkest around your lash line, and continues to fade out to blend in with your natural skin tone.
The first thing you want to do is put some concealer around your eye including the upper lid area all the way up to the brow. This helps create a base that will help the shadow have some staying power.
Using The Italian Badger Crease Brush apply a medium shade of smoky gray to the lid area.
Next using a smaller brush such as the small contour pencil brush using a dark matte violet colored eye shadow apply this into the outer corner and inner corner of the upper lid blending in a circular motion.
Then using a light shimmery pink blend in the middle areas this keeps your eyes looking warm and thoroughly blend make sure you do not take the color up to high.
Repeat these steps on the bottom using the smaller countour pencil brush.

For a Flawless Complexion use a Foundation Brush
Why everyone needs a Foundation Brush
- They work well with all types of foundation, including creams, liquids and even solid stick foundations.
- They create a flawless finish by allowing the makeup to cover each area of the face equally.
- They make spot application and total coverage easy because of their unique flat, tapered shape.
- They are easy to maintain and will last years if you take care of them properly.
